My Graphics Card fans aren't spinning

Just finished putting together my first build and my graphics card fans aren't spinning, is this normal???? i have the NVIDIA gefore gtx 980ti, is there something i need to do in the software?? help please thankyou

They have something built in to not spin unless under load. Try using MSI Afterburner and changing the fan speeds to a custom curve or turning them on to see if they spin then.

so the fans will only spin if they need to?

cant test it right now, installing games to play atm

It will only spin if its above a certain temperature. I forgot what the default was. But i set mine to spin after 40 degrees to 20%, 50 degrees 30% 60 degrees 40% and so on and it is lovely..MSI Afterbruner is best for this in the settings > fan> Enable User Define Software (check next to that) then set it up on the graph.
