Hello guys.

My graphics card (Nvidia GT 710 2gb 128 bit DDR3) gets really heated up when i play games on it and its idle temp are also really high.

I really do not know what to do though, cause my fan speed is in the range of 0-700 RPM and i have to spin my fan Manually by hand in order to start it ( i don't know why it doesn't run without manual startup which i have to do with my hand) and whenever i game on it it goes to 98 Degrees and thats the max temps on it.

On idle, its 60 degrees with the same fan speed. I really am stuck because i really don't know what to do about this.

PC specs:

Thinkcentre
Core i5 4590
280 Watt PSU (i can't change it cause it has 7 pins and all normal PSUs have 6 pins asfaik and this is branded, meh)
Some weird motherboard idk

Can someone please help me with this? I really do not know what to do about this and my fan speed keeps detoriorating and i'm afraid it might damage my card.

I don't have much info about computers so i'm meh rn, please help.

Replace the fan. The card is 8 years old. The fan has worn out.
Or get a new card. GT710 is not meant for gaming anyway.

Thank you for your reply,

I got the card last year in March or April (idr at this point).

The card is 8 years old indeed but the one i got isn't as much used and i got it brand new and it was boxed aswell (its the 2gb Variant). I don't think it being old is the problem here hence why i made this post...

Then it still has warranty.
Return the card and get warranty replacement.
i was wondering to get an external fan for it, that might work but returning is kinda outta the question due to some covid restrictions.
Does your PC have an adequate cooling? Like how many case fans do you have?

You can download and try using Msi Afterburner Software and set the fan speed to your liking, here's the link for it https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner/graphics-cards.
Here's a YT shorts how to control fan speed

.

If it still doesn't ramp up to max speed, it could be a faulty fan.

It doesn't, its probably a faulty fan but idk what to do about it, suggest smth?

That pc case doesn't have any air intake.
Add a frontal intake fan to your pc.

Is this your card? Gigabyte GV-N710D5-2GL ?

If fan doesn't start normally, then remove it. Do not remove heatsink.
And add a pcie slot fan. Something like this or similar.

Update, fan's dead. It doesn't spin at all.

i tried to spin it with hand only to notice its stuck and it doesn't do anything as i try and spin it.

it picks up the pace for 3 seconds and drops back to 0 rm.

GPU without load is at 76 degrees and i'm planning to get it checked by a professional tomorrow i guess.

I have another thing in mind which is to buy an external fan (chargable) and when the gpu gets heated or i game on it i use that fan to keep it cool. I don't think its a permanent solution obviously but for a temporary one ig its good.

if anyone has any other solutions please lmk.
