Hey there,

I bought my GTX 960 4GB MSI Armor OC Edition 3 Months ago..

While Gaming The temperature used to reach 60-65 Degree Celsius

But now... It exceeds 80 Degrees

No! I did not apply thermal paste because in one of my GPU's screws something is printed related to "Voiding Warranty"

So.. What should I do?

I also have a GTX 960 but it's an Asus GTX 960 Strix 2GB. My GPU is usually around 50-60 degrees...

However, GPUs can survive temperatures of around 100 degrees before they begin to get damaged. So what is the highest temperature your GPU has reached? If it's over 100 degrees C you should start to be concerned.

Hope this helps :)

Well its summer, are you sure its not because the ambient temp of the room your computer is in is higher. My GPU never exceeds 60c in the winter but in the summer I hit the low 70s all the time. Other than that make sure your cooler isn't caked with dust.

can be two things. one can be fan wire or a bad fan that not moving air over the gpu. the other is bad gpu driver. nvidia and amd drivers there been card that have cooked because of bad drivers. for the first issue make sure there nothing in the fans and use msi afterburner with the case open set the fans to 100 percent and make sure both are moving fine. the second issue use a driver cleaner and remove all of nvidia drivers..reboot and reinstall the newest one. if the error still there with a clean driver. try msi afterburner use a new fan profile.

Well I was Playing GTA V.. I obeserved that the Temperature reached 80 Degrees..

No it doesn't even reach 90 Degrees

You should be fine then, just make sure you clean your cooler, case fans and enjoy GTA V :)

Ok I'll Do this and let you know

I would say it's unlikely to be bad drivers - it's possible but unlikely. I think his problem is more with room temperature or ventilation - fan speeds/dust.

I would have to agree, unless he is on a very old nvidia driver. I have not heard anything about the latest nvidia drivers causing overheat issues, how would that even happen? A screwed up fan profile maybe? If it started happening right after a driver update I may worry but otherwise im doubtful its the driver.

My Drivers are Up to Date

Current Driver: 368.22

I don't see any newer driver listed in geforce.com/drivers
