So i need some advice, the other day my pc started and played perfectly normal and i shut it down when i left for work. I returned home to turn it on and it went to a black screen immediately after the login screen. Windows 10 would not reset, repair, boot in safe mode or system restore.
So i did a clean install of windows 7 (i do not have a windows 10 cd) with the hard drive formatted. Installed all updates all good but as soon as i installed radeon crimson software it restarted my pc as usual but would not load into the login screen. Only black screen (with a back light so the monitor was active). This time i could load windows in safe mode and the only way i can keep it stable is by disabling or uninstalling the AMD drivers. Works perfectly fine with the generic gpu drivers for windows.
Im a bit stuck now not sure what to do, ive tried multiple clean driver installs, old driver installs, but the same result each time, a black screen with the pc running , fans running on the gpu also.
Any advice would be excellent.
the rig is as follows,
AMD FX 8320 @ 3.5GHz
8 Gig Kingston HyperX 1600 RAM
ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0
Sapphire r9 280 Dual X OC edition 3G
Thanks guys
