My Graphics Card Won't Display Correct Resolution

Hello, I have an HD 2600 XT AGP. I wish to display 1680x1050, but the card will not allow it and forces 1600x1200, this displays on my monitor, but as it is not the native and correct aspect it could look better. I have updated with the latest drivers from the manufacture(sapphire). Any help would be appreciated.

just take scissors and shave a little of the screen off the top and sides of the monitor.....

maybe this card just CANT display 16:10 res ... but only 4:3

download drivers from www.AMD.com
forget Saph's, although i doubt it's a driver issue. What monitor you have?

Its a view sonic monitor. It's an AGP card, amd does not have the drivers. I have the latest drivers for the card. It most definitely supports those resolutions, it has done it before i reformatted my computer and updated the drivers.

Have you tried using the catalyst and looking into changing the res there?

Have you tried using the control panel--display-- and looking to see what options you have as far as res goes?
