My graphics card won't work

My graphics card hasn't been turning on so I thought it was the psu, so I bought a 750w psu and it still doesn't work. I called my friend if he can come over with his computer and see if my graphic card isn't working. We hooked it up and it work fine, so I decided to buy a brand new Msi 970 motherboard and I'm still having the same issue . Any solutions ???

Your graphics card wasn't working so you bought a new motherboard. wtf.

Have you connected auxiliary power? If you have or your card doesn't need it make sure it's in all the way and in the correct slot.
Also, make sure your video cable is in the graphics card not the motherboard!
If that doesn't work what card is it?
