If i try to set folder redirection, using group policies in Active
directories users and computers, it does not work.
I also had a problem setting the 'log on locally' user rights assignment.
is there somewhere else overriding these settings?

right click the GPO go to properties.
security tab
add the security group that needs the folr redirection.
check apply policy.
deny policy for admins
and remove the authenticated group from the list.

logon locally rights are assigned from local security policy on standalond
servers and domain controller security policy on DC's.
