My GTX 1050ti is lacking, it lags on 13 year old games!

I recently built my own pc and I designed it to game on a budget. Heres the specs:
Ryzen 3 1300x
Gtx 1050ti
8gb ram ddr4
B350m mobo
1tb hdd
550w psu

So i booted up counter strike source, and threw everything on high, after all its and old title and this new machine should be able to run it right? I but 9 bots in the game, and i'm shocked when i see 10-14 fps! My laptop which has specs half of my pc can run it. Do i need to install gpu drivers and mobo drivers? Thanks for reading, really need help.

ps. I'm not looking to run games at max settings, my pc wont be able to do that, but I want medium on games and I dont think it will be achievable..

Make and model of the PSU, motherboard and ram? The first thing you do after you install your OS on a new system is to update the motherboard BIOS, install the latest GPU drivers while also making sure your motherboard drivers are also to the latest. http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-...l-windows-drivers.html[Follow this guide[/url on the order for which the drivers should be installed.

The psu is Cosair, the motherboard is MSI and the ram i'm not sure. Im going to download all the bios drivers now.
