Currently i'm using
-Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard,
-AMD FX-6100 3.3GHZ
-EVGA GTX 1060 SC 3GB
- 8GB RAM
- Cooler master 700W
My GTX 1060 arrived today, and i proceeded to uninstalled the AMD drivers, then i turned off my pc and inserted the new GTX 1060.
However, when i turn on the computer, the usb's don't work (i know this because the mouse and keyboards don't light up.)
and there is also no display on the monitor (HDMI) . The PC is powered on though because I can hear the CPU, GPU and case fans going.
When i reinstall my OLD GPU (Raedon 6450) everything seems to works just as perfectly.
Things i have tried
- Changing PCI to PEG in BIOS
- Removing battery to reset BIOS
- Uninstalled AMD drivers through onboard graphics and inserted new GTX 1060 and but still the issue persists.
What could be wrong here? Failing PSU? Failing Motherboard? Is there anything i could try do?
Please Help.
Thanks in advance.
One important note is that, previously i had a GTX 770 installed and was working fine for about 2 years , but recently was taken out by a dodgy computer technician to fix a overall slowdown of my PC. He switched it to a HD 6450 and made me install a new 1TB Hard-drive with fresh install of Windows 7. I'm not 100% sure if this was the problem he described was legit, but it fixed the problem. And now i am faced with problem with not being able to install a high-end dedicated graphics card.
