My hard drive crashed and I am replacing it with a new one. Can I just install a fresh copy of windows 7 on acer aspire 4810t without having to do any upgrades? I cannot upgrade until windows 7 is installed first. Is that possible?

What upgrades are you talking about? Put a new HD in and install windows that it.

My company has sold those laptops in the past...they did NOT come with 7 on them....only Vista...

So you would have to install the original Vista then a genuine Upgrade disc to get to 7...
