My Hard Drive Dissapeared!

Alright so I reinstalled my OS by selecting the custom install from the Windows 8 boot disk. It told me that it was going to make a partition and wipe everything off of my drive. I had no problem with that, so I clicked accept. After I got everything up and running again I looked my devices and noticed a System Reserved in place of my 2 TB hard drive. I can't find my hard drive anywhere and I'm not that experienced so I'm not sure what to do. Could someone please help me? I'll delete the partition if that's what it takes because I don't think I even need it.

Do not delete the System Reserved partition. Windows won't start without it.

Right click on "computer" -> Manage -> Storage -> Disk Management.

Take a screenshot of that and post it here.

Ok, it could be some conflict on windows part, just try to assign a new letter to the drive, as you can see it doesn't have a letter..

If that doesn't work out, then you might be looking at a rootkit virus, I have found this http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f16/no-drive-letters-show-in-disk-management-355458.html to be a very detailed thread that should help you fix that virus

I just assigned the drive to 'F' and it worked like a charm, thanks so much for your help!
