My hard drive is playing up

I am having problems with my external hard drive it was working on my xbox and now today my xbox can not detect it any ideas on how i can get it to work on my xbox again?

Hi there Ryan_1996,

Is the drive even spinning up? Does it make any weird sounds?

One simple thing you can try is to attach the drive wit ha different USB cable.

In case the issue persists, you can attach the drive to a computer and go to Disk Management. See if the drive is recognized over there and how.

In case it is not, then it has most probably failed.
In case it is, but has some damaged partitions/file system, you may need to run some data recovery tools on it.
