My hard drive lost 200GB of memory last Night without downloading anything just playing a few games with my friends.

I checked system restore and appears to be off, so no memory drained by that.

My computer Pagefile is only using 6GB memory, so nothing from that, pagefile is like that for months.

I did a WinDirStat, it says 320.0GB Free from 577GB, but my Hard drive has 1TB memory! I'm using the same hard drive for about 3 years now, and already surpassed more than 600GB of occupied memory, can someone help me?

Solution
this is recommended on a few of the sites i found linked to large amounts of unknown

http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/
one day i will work out that chart. can you click on the health tab (near red cross) and see the smart score

Do you have any torrent programs or backup programs? but then it wouldn't be marked as unknown

try running an anti virus?

right click start
choose disk management
share a screen shot.

This mysterious item is just the difference between what Windows reports as the free space on the volume minus size of the files WDS can access. Please note the part WDS can access! This is the important point here. WDS cannot access the files under System Volume Information on all the (NTFS?) drives, so it cannot sum up the sizes of these items. And by the way, we have had reports of up to 30 GB of “<Unknown>” space.

I do not own torrent files nor backup files.

I ran with administrator priviledges, still doesn't show up what is it.
