My hardrive is VERY noisy?

Solution
General wisdom says if a HDD is making audible noise it is time to replace it. They do make some sounds but nothing constant or loud. So I would say stop using the system, buy a drive, do a clean install of windows and the rest of the system. Unplug the power and data lines from the old drive first. Then reconnect it after the new system drive is the way you want it then you can move data files as you need from the old drive. Oh Ya never buy a used HDD. These things have a definite life span directly linked to houres in use. Buying new you never know how used it is.
