just wanted to know if my HDD dying or not.

i got this 'iaStorA' warning in event-viewer, a lot of them if i do something with this HDD
playing games / scan / do things with data in it etc..

the error description is
"Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued."
source : iaStorA
eventID : 129

these occur first while i'm playing game (Wolfenstein TNC) i've notice some wierdly-increase of loading time (normally 10sec ,increase to about 1-2 min)
then i check event viewer and found these warning.

so i do these
1.uninstall and reinstall intel Rapid Storage.

2.run CMD : chkdsk /r -found bad registry and it try to fix but too long (EST like 8hour) so i restart

3.using seagate (seatools) for scan
result is : it passed the scan ! (3 hr scan)

4.run HD tune
(currently running about 30% finish )
its all shown green but there is some "hiccup - not responding" from time to time and Event-Veiwer "iaStorA" warning keep stacking one per 30sec or 1 or 2 minutes.

what do i do?, anyone got experience with this 'iaStorA' warning?

thanks
pardon me for my english.

Solution
It's possible the Intel RST version was outdated and may have had a SATA driver conflict so updating the app is the only way to tell if it was that or the SATA port. Obviously, if the app version was updated, then it's probably the port, the SATA cable condition is another possibility, and one more may be the BIOS SATA controller setting. If you need help on the setting, download the motherboard use manual from the motherboard manufacturer's product page > Support > Downloads.

wanted to update

after followed the instructions from links you gave ,and i did disable power-link via 'Intel RST' warning still shown
(just by restart pc and auto launch of Steam App it's start to stackup warning)

BUT
i decided to uninstall 'Intel RST' driver then restart it seems the warning is none to be found (yet, after Steam Launch and game patch download)

then that is reminded me, there is some lingering problem which i think maybe it related to this one.

there's error (red icon) description as below
type : ERROR
source : Distributed COM
eventID : 10016

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

this kind of error shown up alot. while using the HDD i guess.

is it possible that all this cause by motherboard.

update 2
after i test by playing game (Wolfenstein TNC) the game crash and in event viewer contain big load of 'warning' (2 type of them)

most of it is
Warning
NTFS
eventID 134
The transaction resource manager on volume D: encountered an error during recovery. The resource manager will continue recovery.

another is (occur only once)
Warning
DISK
eventID 157
Disk 1 has been surprise removed.

(Disk1 is Drive D )

Looks like the HDD is failing... there are a couple Windows issues but they may be due to the HDD freezes. Install Hard Disk Sentinel to see the HDD actual condition before anything else. If you don't understand the HD Sentinel scan results, take a screenshot of HD Sentinel and update the image to a image sharing website postimage.org for example, and post here the image or ink.

more update on the situation

after update 2 , i decided to
1.switch sata cable ,and sata port (0-3) from 1 to 3
and
2.uninstall intel RST after this i run chkdsk /r and it finish like with in an hour

now currently there is no error or warning shown after test by playing game continues for 4 hour.

could this be my motherboard dying instead?

HDD testing tool result
-HD tune passed with all green 100% , HDD health got 2 yellow tab (after some googled , i find it normal to shown like that)
-chkdsk /r , no bad sector just 2 un-relocate sector or something
-Seagate's SeaTools also shown no error after , normal scan - detail scan it's all passed

from my latest update on topic,

after uninstall intelRST + change sata cable and switch to another slot seems works

i didn't test which action solve my problem, but i guess it is about my sata-port.

Solution
driver outdated is possible ,after i ran"intel update assistance" it's shown newer version of
intel-wifi ,iGPU , intel RST (current os - driver install was on august 2017 though).
but i can't install intel RST no matter what
(i'm download the right version, i'm sure both via update-assistance and direct download from selection on intel-site ,but still can't install ,can't remember what exactly error was, something like 'driver not support' i guess )

anyway now the problem solved , but lack of pin-point cause of the problem ,if i have time i'll try to test S-ATA cable and connection then post update later.
thank you anyway , i'll choose your answer as the solution since it is the most possibility for this issue.

Any of the latest versions of the Intel RST driver should be compatible with Windows 10 so if you can't install a later version it's possible the previous had issues and it wasn't completely removed. You may want to check the Control Panel > Programs and Features and see if the Intel RST application is still in the installed programs list and if it is, right-click it and select Change or Remove to repair the installation or uninstall correctly. If the Intel RST is not in the programs list, see if the Intel Driver Utility can help you install the update correctly... ignore this if it's the same driver utility you've already used.. in such case see if removing the RST driver residues with a registry cleaner helps... I'd recommend Tune UP Utilities and CCleaner may help but I'd give preference to Tune Up Utilities. Once the registry is cleaned it may be easier to install the driver update.
