So I have a very old mb (P5K) and a 500gb Seagate hdd that I don't know how old it is or how long it was used, when I start my computer it can be heard a sound coming from it that it's like turning off and on,it happened in the past amd after being a genius and just switched the sata wire from the mb to the hdd amd otherwise it stoped for some time but I moved some wires around the hdd this morning to get something that I kept on top of it,btw it's kind of full too

Solution
andreiandy500, you could always get in touch with Seagate support. Also, as this drive is a bit older, it is a good idea to back up your info just in case.
Basically you want:

3 copies of any data you don't want to lose.
2 different mediums it's stored on (so 2 different drives in your computer, for example).
1 copy kept offsite, to prevent against disaster.
