After a new installation of Windows 10 Version 1511 and "Intel Desktop/workstation/Server express chipset SATa RAID controller" instead of my previous "Intel Rapid Storage Technology", my HDD is now shown as SSD and Optimisation is not available[/b.
In BIOS it is shown as RAID.
My PC is a Dell XPS 8500 Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40 GHz.
Can anyone give me some information how I can change this and my PC would show my hard disk as HDD and not an SSD?

Solution
sounds like RAID Autodetect was on when it was installed and it may have installed the HDD as a RAID device and not a normal AHCI or ATA Device. Since you are running a Hard drive it shouldn't matter too much.

I say if it is running fine let it be. As far as it showing the HDD as a SSD is that in the IRST? If you go into the device manager and expand Disk Drive what does it show your hard drive as?

It shows as a disk drive - the snag is that I cannot defragment it - because Optimisation is unavailable I would like to send you prtscn but i don't know how
