My hdd isn't on disk management

Hi. I built my first PC yesterday and I installed my operating system on my ssd and had my hdd unplugged during this process I have re-plugged my hdd but it doesn't show up n disk management, however it does show up in the bios and in device manager. Can someone help me to fix this problem so that I can start saving things onto my hard drive.

can you go into BIOS and check if your SATA ports detected your hard drive?
what type of HDD do you have? your motherboard?

it is a asus b250f and a wd 1 tb hard drive and I have already said it shows up on the bios.It also shows up in device manager and I can also make a storage pool with it but when I go to disk management it isn't there.
