My headphones don't work

I've got those same headphones and my phone recognizes it as a headset with mic, not just headphones. I imagine you're unplugging the headset from the corded amp first, yes? Stupid question, but it needs to be asked.

First thing would be to check that they still work as a headset on your computer, if you haven't already. Most computers don't have four-pole audio jacks, so just connect it as normal. Open Skype or any other voice chat function and make sure others can hear you. This lets you know that the mic is still properly working.

Next, do you have another phone or tablet that would recognize a four-pole connector? Plug the headset in there and see if it works. If it does, then the problem is with your phone. If it doesn't...

I did everything you said already. I mentioned that above. I just dont think enough power comes from the jack to power the headphones because I tried it with my ipod and my brothers samsung galaxy s5. They work with my pc. And i tried different headphones as stated above on my phone. Theres nothing wrong with my phone. I just dont think it outputs enough power to the headphones. Thank you so much for your response though :)
