Question My headset's microphone is picking up sound even when headphones are muted manually

i have this problem where my mic picks up sound when blasting my headsets and even when its muted from a button in the actual headset sound is still playing through my mic i would hope to get some solutions as soon as possible its annoying to me and my friends and it ruins my recordings and streams

Sound is playing thru your mic? does that mean the mic is acting like a speaker? or did you mean that the mic is still picking up sound even when it's muted?
