My Hot Swap bays aren't showing up in BIOS.

Hello, basically, I just finished building a computer, and the case has 2, 3.5" Hot Swap bays at the bottom of it, the case is a Corsair Air 540 if that's important.

Anyway, when I put my Hard Drive into one of the Hot Swap bays, it doesn't get recognised by the BIOS at all. I'm using the 'ASUS-Z97-Pro (Wi-Fi AC)' motherboard, and I've changed the SATA mode to ACHI, and I have also activated Hot Plug mode for both the Hot Plug SATA connections. I've also installed Windows 8.1 Pro whilst the BIOS was in ACHI mode, which I hear is a good news for once the problem is fixed.

Anyway, I've pulled out the hard drive, and plugged it directly into the SATA whilst it was outside of the computer to see if it works, and the HDD is then recognised on the BIOS. But it doesn't want to work in either Hot Swap bays, I doubt both of them are broken, in my opinion, I think I'm just missing something.

I've tried following regedit instructions, for Windows 8.1, but they seem to point at things that aren't in my regedit, so I just left it alone, as I know editing the registry can be a bad idea most of the time, especially if you don't know 100% what you're doing.

I think the main problem I've had, is that whenever I searched for help for the situation, it was more information about how people were struggling to remove their HDD and put it back in whilst the computer was turned on, and how it wasn't detected on Windows 7, which wasn't really much help.

So, yeah, any help would massively be appreciated, thanks! :)

P.S. The computer is practically 1 day old, so I'm not bothered about losing any data.

It sounds like power isn't getting through to the drives in the bay. Some drives won't spin up if the SATA data cable is absent, so you should check whether your drives fall into that category by connecting them directly to the PSU and disconnecting them from the motherboard.
Yeah, I did both, for both, I tried using different sockets on the power connector leads, and tried plugging the sata connectors into different ports on the motherboard to see if it was the sata ports that were the problem. Which they were not.

I also spoke to one of my friends that knows a lot about computers, and after he researched it, apparently the Air 540 connectors have been known to be faulty at times, so I've submitted a ticket to Corsair Force, to see what they think about it, personally, knowing my luck with electronics, I do think both are broken...

Hopefully Cosair have some answers, but I'll leave this thread open incase anyone has any other ideas.

Anyway, thank you for getting back to me, I'd almost forgot I made this thread!
