My house has been doing small power outages for the past month or so and I am wondering if anything can be affected !

Every once in a while or when we turn on something with a large pull on electricity like the garbage disposal all the lights in my house will go dim for a short while but return back to full brightness. Sometimes the fans we have running on hot days will slow for a second to but not for more than 1-2 seconds. I am curious as if the power going low can have some effect on my PC or any of its component.

It has never turned itself of or showed a lack of power when this happens such as my monitor going dim or the computer running slower but it's still in my best interest to know if something like this occasionally will be fine for it.

I use OpenHardwareMonitor to check and read the status of all my components but not sure what I would be keeping an eye out for in the event it actually changed something or effected anything inside my tower. Thank you guys for any and all the help, this forum is great. :)

What everyone says is true a good PSU can protect from quick brown outs and a good UPS would prevent any longer brown outs.

However if you have lights dimming when certain things pull a decent amount of load I would make note of what causes the brown outs every time they happen then call an electrification. You will have some wiring that is to small or not up to code. It will be worth it to have it checked out as you could have a fire hazard. I'm not saying you do certainly have a hazard but what is happening is not normal.

Yes, power sags can be as bad for electronics as power surges. You should us an Uninterruptible Power Supply to feed the computer PSU. A good UPS will smooth out the minor sags and surges and it will kick in and supply constant, level power if the sag gets sufficiently bad.
