Did you just install window 7 on your system? - If so you should look for your audio drivers from the laptop manufactures site.

Click on volume options and make sure your speakers are selected as an output source. And that the volume isn't muted.

Boot into safe mode and see if you can hear anything.

Yes its a Vista driver, but should fine under Windows 7.
