My HP Pavilion Dv6-3130us 500Gb HD failed,

I took the laptop to a vendor in the Navy Exchange to replace the HD. The company Value Logic Inc changed the hard drive, i had them replace it with a 1TB hd. I just started the laptop yesterday as right after i had the laptop repaired i got a job and had to go overseas for a little more than 2 months. When i started the laptop yesterday for the first time since the change, when i got the login screen, it gives my name and asks for the password, i type in the password that i used, it does not recognize that password. i have tried variations of my password to no avail. all i need is to get in so i can restart the biometrics which also requires the windows password. again does not recognize the password. please assist me, any help will be greatly appreciated, again i can't get past the login screen. so any suggested downloads for password will not work, thank you very much.
