So I have a i5 7600k paired with a gtx 1070 to and I’m getting lower frame rates then I should be in some games like battlefield or bo4. The cpu usage is always around 80-90% and the gpu is around 20-50%. The resolution I’m playin at is 1600x900 but I’m upgrading it to a 1440p 144hz monitor in a couple of weeks. Will this help decrease my cpu usage? Or is it a hardware problem on my end?

Around 130 to 170 on bf4 when it should be maxed out at 200 all the time while bo4 is like 120 in blackout and these are all low settings and my gpu never wants to go above 70% unless I raise the res to 200%

I think it’s just the res I’m playing at is causing my cpu to be used more. If I get a 1440p monitor then my cpu usage should go down because their isn’t as much of a strain on it in processing all the pixels it needs unlike 1600x900 which causes the cpu to work a little harder

4c isn't enough for high frame rates. Would be better off getting an 7700k for extra threads or Ryzen 2600 depending on the price of the 7700k.

Have a read of my two last replies here bottom of thread and watch the video i posted there. Youll get a good idea what impact frame rates has in these games.

Resolution does matter but also how many fps matters too.
