Assuming it's legit & still sealed, damage is unlikely, as the only real damage that can occur is damage to the pins (if it were AMD, Intels are in the socket) or the pads. Those face into the box, and have a plastic surround for protection.
Unless the box was totally destroyed/flattened, chances are pretty good that the CPU is fine.

If the intel factory sealed sticker is ripped or gone I would send it back. Beyond that I have no idea if the cpu will work or not, no way I could answer that with any certainty based on your description.
So I got my box today from the mail man but it's broken the box can there be something wrong with the CPU?

A CPU is very sturdy and IMO it wouldn't get damage easily, only if real pressure were applied to it.
Test it out, check if it works fine, if it does, no worries there friend.
