I mainly use my laptop for gaming and it had been fine with the intel centrino wireless-n 100 but its starting to disconnect randomly and is just overall way slower than what it used to be. My question is would something like this http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Wireless-Network-Adapter-Computer/dp/B006JWMOOI/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk outperform my current adapter. Going wired isn't really an option for me I know wired is ideal. All i want to know is if I can match the performance of my old adapter with a usb adapter?

I have never seen that brand but it likely is using the fairly standard chips most other devices use so it should perform about the same. If you could find the FCCID number it is pretty easy to lookup.

You should not see a large difference between a USB wifi card and the internal ones. Pretty much it is just a pain to carry around a external adapter.

If your problem is a failed card then it will likely work better. If it is something like new interference from a neighbor then it likely will make no difference.

You could I suppose look into replacing the internal card also they cost about the same. It just depends how hard it is to get to the card in the laptop some you have to do major dissemble.
