my Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53Ghz is stable at 47 degrees celsius in idle

was that said temp is fine for the Intel Core 2 Duo in IDLE state?..never tried it yet with the temp in full load..since i dont have a graphics card yet to play heavily..oh and im using a cooler master hyper tx3 as hsf..advance thanks for the answer and more power!...

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 is a poor cooler(as per me).... If you want to increase its little performance to give more cooling attach another fan to the Hyper TX3... But still little bit of temperature difference would be seen...

When was the last time you replaced the thermal paste? If it was too long try replacing the thermal paste...
You are getting temperature which is fine but it should be somewhat less than 47 C at idle but more than 40 C ...!
If you want more cooling you can get Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo... It is the best cooler.... Which software did you used to check the temperatures... I prefer HWMonitor to see your Hardware's temperature...

thanks for the reply sir..anyway im using the HWMonitor and CoreTemp and they have same result which is 45 C to 47 C..i just got this processor 2nd hand..and will you give me advice on how to put a TPaste cause im just putting it by DOT and then put the HSF..should i spread it?..thanks again!...

Okay no problem if you got that processor 2nd hand or even 3rd hand... It is just that it is working! That is more important....

[EDIT] In the tutorial above they used Artic Silver 5 as the thermal paste and it has to be put in a vertical line... But for other paste you just need drop of the thermal paste at the center and no need to spread it...

yes sir thats what im doing most of the time..just putting the thermal paste in the middle then let the HSF spread it..

but with the temp in IDLE still ok i mean..tolerable?.. 47 C in IDLE?..cause i cant say it in full load..no graphics card yet to test it playing HD games or some high setting games..

Hmm you are doing it right as per spreading the thermal paste....
Yes the temperatures are tolerable... The maximum safe temperature stated by Intel for E7200 is 74.1°C... Just see if you are using your PC on a medium or full load make sure to run HWMonitor in the background... And when your pc gets to idle after getting load see the maximum temperature gone at HWMonitor... If it is beyond 74.1°C then you need to worry and get a better cooler... If not you can continue with this...

i think it was solved sir..hehe..i reapply thermal paste..and now its been an hour and i got only 39 C to 40 C..i think that temp was fine with Hyper TX3 anyway..and thanks for the reply sir! more power!...
