Question My Intel CPU backplate does not fit my motherboard ?

I'm attempting to attach the Intel backplate (that came with my Corsair H100x) to my Asus Prime Z590-V motherboard and it doesn't fit ?

I came here today because I had the same problem on a Christmas build. I discovered that the screw pins on the intel backplate actually slide in and out a little, and they slide in just enough to fit into the motherboard (initially it appeared as though the backplate was too large).

3 months later, I'm sure you already figured this out.
