I have an i7 4790k and since I have it I get unusually high temps. f.e.: this morning playing bf 1 on 90+ celsius with maximum fan. I have cooler III and some additional cooling too. My msi 1060 is max 50 celsius in any situation. What should I do?
Yup that's too hot for extended use. I'm not sure of that cooler you have but I would invest in something better and if you have the CPU overclocked I would revert everything back to stock until you get the temp within a reasonable limit.
Thanks for the answers. I didn't repaste it in 2 yrs since i got it but I neither overclocked it. However this error is about the same since I got this PC. I have a year warranty still, the problem with it that's the shop I bought from is at the other side of the country and takes about a month for them to do anything, but the warranty is seperated by componets (f.e.: I can take the pc apart and change 1 thing at a time). Should I bring the PC to a local repair?
Thanks for answer. I think I will probably bring it to a shop becouse my hand dexterity is not the best and I'm afraid to fail the pasting creating bubbles. btw how much improvement should I expect after repasting?
Well that CPU should stay under 80C while gaming however if the repaste doesn't make a big difference then your going to need to buy a better aftermarket cooler.
