i have an old pc with an intergrated nvidea geforce 7100/nforce 630i with 128gb dedicated ram, and another 1.5 gb of system dedicated ram.
i noticed that in all the light games, even though i had the "recommended" requirments i was getting way lower fps than i should. The other day, i was playing minecraft, and it sent a message that read "OpenGL:Out of memory". When this happens, some parts of the game stop rendeting correctly, but if i check the the vram it says that only 160mb are used, when it should have a total 1gb and 628mb of vram. when it happend againn, i checked once more. Again, plenty of ram in both the system and gpu. How can i make my gpu either only use the system ram or use them both at the same time

Solution
no way the onboard gpu has 128gb of ram. We don't even have cards now with that much :)

I can find that error if it exceeds 128mb of textures, that is far more likely an amount of vram on that board

Although the video memory is allocated off the system memory, there is usually a limit set through the BIOS that caps the amount the graphics driver / part can steal for video allocation. You should check the BIOS configuration to see if you can increase this limit.

can you run speccy and tell me what motherboard it is? https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/download

What are these other games that you have the "recommended" requirements for? The only one you cite is Minecraft and you're far below the minimum requirements for this game, even using the Java edition instead of Windows.
