I got a new computer recently and I used wireless for a while and experienced the same thing. Through wireless I got much less speeds which affected the download to only be .365 Mbps. I finally was able to upgrade to Ethernet cable and i get 20 Mbps (I share with others which collectively add up to 40 Mbps). I did check my speed on speedtest, net, is there a fix to this or is it a normal thing?
You should perform a check on speedtest.net when there is little to no activity on your network to get the best results. You should have close to the 40Mbs that you are subscribed to from your provider.
Keep in mind that file downloads are measured in bytes per second (M
Bps) while connection speeds are measure in bits per second (M
bps), so connection speeds will be roughly 8 times greater than download speeds. Download speeds are also dependent on the connection to the server from which you are downloading, and speeds may be restricted by the server administrator.
