my internet is suddenly 4x faster

so i just bought a new game on steam and started downloading it and i got 2.5 mbs in download speed when i before i had 500kbs, so i checked speed test and my internet had 4x time more than last time. is this normal? have my internet provider done something?

if it dsl service you may have gotten a free upgrade. check with your local isp web page see if they change tier and or pricing. here on comcast they had there slowest speeds jump over the years to there 25/5 tier that out now.

Perhaps they upgraded the wrong person. Does not happen often...Keep an eye out on your bill!
