My internet is turned bad

for the past month and half id say my internet is going downhill i use to have such good internet and apparently their was a cyber attack around September on the east coast (i live in ny) and ever since those attacks on my pc i would disconnect frequently and on my xbox i would lose connection to the party's so much but this never use to happen my internet was perfect someone plz help me btw i have optimum

Did you already contact your ISP? Reboot modem and router?
