My internet is turned on but no display

Hello, i have a toshiba satellite laptop. it says the wi-fi is turned on and it has high connection. Skype and everything else is working. But when i try to go into internet explore, it cant display a webpage.

You need to run a complete anti-virus and malware scan.

Get Malwarebytes at www.malwarebytes.org (the free version is fine) if you don't have something already installed.

Delete everything the app finds and try IE again.

If you have another browser installed, like Firefox, does it work properly?
