My internet keeps crashing?

I got a new computer with ethernet connection. Recently my internet keeps going down and when I check my connection it just says "limited" After that it goes back up in about five minutes, only to crash 10 seconds later. Do I need a new router/modem so it wont crash as much or is it just TWC being the worst provider ever?

1. If your router/modem has multiple ethernet ports, try a different one. I was having a similar issue and switching the ports solved it.

2. Try renewing your IP: http://www.wikihow.com/Refresh-Your-IP-Address-on-a-Windows-Computer

3. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the LAN drivers.

Try those out in that order and report back, please.

The first thing helped a bit but I went ahead and got a new router and that seemed to work as well. I think it's because the rest of my family internet constantly on several different devices and it was just eating up the internet. I also used a new ethernet cable entirely so that may have also helped it out. The cable I was using was just some cable I dug up out of the closet so it probably wasn't helping anything.

A little bit but when the internet does go down it only stops for a few seconds before fixing itself. So I think that the only reason I still experience them Is because of my provider and not on my end.

That is likely, especially if you have many devices connected to the internet.
