My internet keeps disconnecting on laptop

Hello,

I have a Dell laptop and the internet keeps losing connection for a minute or so all the time.

Have checked internet connection, etc and seems fine.

Also, I play Xbox online and it never losses connection when Im playing so can only think that it must be laptop.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where is your laptop located, is it in the same room as your xbox or around any large electronics as there maybe some interference? Its possible that the nic could be faulty.

i would goto dos mode command line interface and give this a shot; netbios -e or a netstat -e not sure which one, and see if their are any errors indicating a NIC card problem! It lets you know if any hardware is failing or give you a general idea!
