Hello,
Thank you for taking your time to read this.

After I changed my ISP, and replaced my old modem, I couldnt play some online games.
For example, I cant play Battlefield 3 but I can play Battlefield 4 without any problem or restriction. I even happen to join BF3 server for 3-10 secunds and then get kicked. I can play many games like CSGO, BF4, BFH, GW2, TERA, but I cant play BF3, ESO, Aion. The error I get is either No connection to server, or no packet flow. I solved this with using cactus VPN, which allowed me to play ESO without any problem, while I still sometimes get kicked from BF3, but I can play it way longer. Anyhow, VPN is not permanently solution, but I hope it gives you a clue what's a problem with my network. I hope some will be able to help me!

Regards!

Most users don't need to configure their routers for anything special and they can connect to sites just fine. I game and have no special configs in my router and I have zero issues.

I would reset the router to its default configuration and try connecting again.

Hi COLGeek,

Actually, with my old ISP, I had only one box/modem which was connected directly to my PC ( I did not have WiFi router). Now, with new ISP, I got modem and wifi router. I'm not using Wireless connection at PC, but wired, if that means anything to you.

Cheers

Understood. Have you tried optimizing your router to open ports for any of your games (the ones you are having trouble with) or is it still in the default configuration (for the most part)? Even if hardwired to the router, it will still function as a router/firewall to protect your devices. This could include closing some ports/services considered as "risky".

Hello, it took me some time to setup port forwarding so I could answer you. I port forwarded ESO, and I couldnt login. So I guess it doesnt help. Any other clue what it might be? If it works with VPN, what does it mean? What VPN actually changes?

Thank you for helping me.
