I was screwing around with my ip, trying to get past some stuff on the router. Anyways, all the sudden, nothing could connect.
I ran ipconfig , and this is hat it says (I am connected wit an Ethernet cable right now, that's how I can post this.):

As you can see, my wifi adapter says disconnected. I refreshed my computer, I updated drivers, I did everything, I enabled stuff, im just lost, I need help, or else I wont be able to connect to any wifi. Oh, it shows the ssids of all the networks, but nothing will connect.

Solution
Hold on. Not to question your knowledge but have you tried disabled then re-enabled your adapter, checked your wireless network adapter IPv4 properties to check to see if it's on dynamic, and have you also flushed your DNS and/or releasing&renewing your IP lease? Or even your MoBo Wireless Network driver in case the files are corrupt.

Yes, I've pressed the the switch button. It's white, so it's on. And you can see the ssid of the networks around me, so its on. Although I stopped this from happening, but before, when I connected, it would be white, then halfway through turn red a second, and turn white again, and fail to connect. I turned on the device menu, and it would be disabled when I tried to connect, but became enabled when I wasn't trying to connect. very strange.

Ryan, sometimes messing with IP settings for an already saved network on the computer can corrupt the profile. Delete it and try reconnecting.

To do this:

Right click Windows button and open command prompt as admin.

Then type: netsh wlan show profiles (this will give a list of saved wireless networks) Find the network in question and issue this command without quotes:

netsh wlan delete profile name="ProfileName" (where ProfileName is the profile in question.

Since Windows 8 no longer gives us a wireless network management window to work with, this seems to be the easiest way. Hope that helps!

I typed that, and I have no profiles. I think my omcputer isn't recognizing my card, but IDK.

Just tried this myself as I am having major internet connection problems and it comes up as there is no such wireless interface on the system. I haven't played with my IP address but it does tell me I am having IPv6 connectivity problems. Thank god for phones cause the computer will not connect to wifi, Ethernet or even iPhone hot spot, even though it says it is there?!
