My issues with my new system

Two days ago my new-to-me Asus gaming laptop arrived in the mail and it ran fine... for about 4 hours before my screen flashed an array of color mid-game and forcibly restarted. I thought initially that the GPU got overheated but I checked the temp monitor regular through the game to observe the temperature and it never got over 45 degrees Celsius and then minutes afterwards it happens again. This being said, what are some possible diagnoses for this issue. I still feel it is in the graphics card, which is a nvidia 1070, because it only happens during gaming but, I will try anything to try and resolve this seeings that is has now happened 5 times.

Since under warranty, I'd return it.

Return I I would say but before that try updating the nvdia gforceexperiance drivers might be a game bug
