Question My keyboard and trackpad aren't working

I tried reinstalling an os for an old laptop i had, and once i did, the trackpad and keyboard didnt work. i plugged in some other peripherals and i went to Device Manager. The keyboard and mouse were not on the page. Anyone have any ideas?

The laptop specs:
Acer Aspire ES1-512
Intel Celeron N2840
4GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB HDD
15.6" LCD Display

Have you tried to go to the laptop manufacturer site and make sure you have the latest drivers for the laptop? You could just be missing the drivers and Windows isn't picking it up from the windows drivers.

now the keyboard driver is there but the keyboard still doesnt work and the trackpad had no effect
