My lap top can connect to wpa but not in wpe wireless

Hello,
this is first time i brought out my lap away from house,It was working perfectly but when i try to get an internet to my sisters house, who has a wireless router, i cant connect my laptop. she has wep.Icheck the other availaable connection i notice that i can connect with wpa (Of course i need to know their password which i dont)but the the wep it always showing trouble in connection even i troubleshoot it still i cant.please help

Knowing the WEP code should help.
Find the WEP/WPA/Security Key/Password
