My laptop doesn't use it's Dedicated GPU the Rx 460 but it is correctly installed and my AMD drivers are also correctly installed. I tried updating both drivers my iGPU and my dGPU using the Device Manager and the AMD Radeon Software. I don't know how to fix this so I installed GPU Z to see if my Dedicated GPU is working but somehow I got this results:

This is my Integrated GPU and it's the one that keeps getting used instead of my Dedicated GPU

Few other things to try if issue persists and temperatures are fine:
1. download and install chipset driver from here : https://www.asus.com/supportonly/FX550IU/HelpDesk_BIOS/

2. Check if your running latest "Version 308" bios with this guide, use the msinfo one : https://www.howtogeek.com/196916/how-to-check-your-bios-version-and-update-it/

If you have earlier version go to here, and download version 308 https://www.asus.com/supportonly/FX550IU/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Make sure that your battery is powered atleast 50% and your power cable is plugged in. Then download english manual from here : https://www.asus.com/Laptops/X550IU/HelpDesk_Manual/
Scroll down on it to page 75 "how to update bios", you need a usb stick...
Also it wont be changing to rx480 unless your gaming or stressing your gpu. You can see that by downloading MSI afterburner with rivaturner overlay, use the overlay in game (select GPU usage for both gpu:s in monitoring tab) to see how much each one ramps up ingame or stressed.

You are using rx580 now. Go to amd radeon software and press "factory defaults" after it reboots choose "gaming" profile, you should get better performance with that.
Then download aida64 trial, go to system stability test and select CPU (processor) and GPU (graphics card) start the test and monitor temperatures the same software, make sure you see temperatures of gpu and cpu on the "temperatures" tab under system stability test. Run it 5minutes and take a picture. You can also monitor clock speeds of gpu and cpu with it if you see any downclocking cause of temperature and power limits.

Then you can manually delete and reinstall GPU drivers to do this follow:
  1. install ddu (display driver uninstaller to your desktop)
  2. Install radeon software to your desktop https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-software
  3. boot into safe mode (google how to boot into safe mode windows 10)
  4. when your in safe mode plug off your internet cable and disable wifi with fn command
  5. extract and open DDU and select GPU then AMD from the drop down menu on right, then proceed to press (clean and restart recommended) , let it run, it will boot your pc automatically when its done.
  6. Now plugin your internet back and install radeon software from your desktop, reboot if needed after its done.

But my laptop's dGPU is Rx 460 is it still the same?

Also before I do the BIOS thing, is my laptop FX550I the same model with X550IU? Thanks man

If you are gaming on battery power, you will default to the integrated graphics to conserve battery run time.

My battery is broken so I have to plug it to use it and my battery settings is already set to Ultra High Performance so I don't know the problem is. In GTAV my Display setting's limit is at 512mb and that's how I know my laptop's still using its iGPU instead of the dGPU

You can bypass it this way : In bios When the system will display that you can not update the bios because there is no battery, on your keyboard you enter "risky"

Just type it in, beware if you power off middle of the update you need spi programmer to recover it. Own risk.

I suggest first doing my post #7 reinstallation of graphics drivers guide, if that wont help then its your own choice if you want to bypass the battery warning on ez flash. I would myself get new genuine battery first and then try.

Do you see both GPU:s in device manager?
You might already be using the RX460 and that program is just

EDIT: check radeon software if you can change it now : https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-017

You can monitor what happens during game / benchmark when you leave task manager open and check which gpu its using, just alt+tab to task manager to see.
And your battery is "broken" have you complete taken it off or is it still connected ?
Also did the bios update work, are you getting new version in msinfo?
I see both GPU on the device manager. Also I removed the broken battery out of my laptop and yes I am using the latest BIOS

What options do you have in Bios => advanced => graphic configuration?
I never had this issue but Bios might be forcing the rx460 since you do not have battery installed, i would get genuine one and test. Getting not original battery can give problems later on. Worth a try.
