my laptop dosen't start .there is a cursor pop up on the top of the display.

Hii,
I want to know how can i start my hp notebook.There is a one cursor which is pop-up on the top of the screen and also not start from boot cd,
So please answer me fast.

try the laptop cmos reset removing the ac power and battery for 1 minute the put the ac back and start .
