MY LAPTOP DVD DRIVE IS NOT DETECTING CD

Hello,
AFTER INSALLING WINDOWS7 MY DVD PLAYER NOT DETECTING ANY CD BUT THE ICON IS VISIBLE IN COMPUTER WINDOW. SHOULD I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY DRIVER FOR THIS PLEASE HELP

It should be plug and play (it is already plugged in) But pop in the driver CD that came with your computer and install the device driver... Or go to the Manufactures web site for the latest drivers
