My laptop give me an error saying I'm low on memory but its at 50% or lower

Hello, I've been wondering if there would be some kind of answer out there... I've been so desperate to find this out because whenever i play games for more than an hour and sometimes even less i get the error and it says to close down the program. i have no clue what is happening but any answer would be nice. If you need more info about my computer specs just ask and I'll reply asap. Thanks for any help in advance!

i have a lenovo laptop and it has 6gb of RAM

well i didnt mean to do that but it says to shut down the game im running for windows towork properly. ill try to find a pic becuase i have no phone.... i know im lame
