My Laptop hard disk detects only on one orientation. It doesn't detect when it is upside down

Hi,

My Seagate ST1000LM24 hard disk detects in the system when it was kept flat on a surface with label side on top (the side that contains serial number). It doesn't detect when I place it such that the label is on the bottom. Any idea why it is happening? Is it because of loose head?

If you had an issue with the heads when upside down, your drive would very likely be unusable soon as you started moving it around due to damage. Likely there is something with the cables or connections.
