My laptop has 2 antenna ports on my wifi card, and only one is taken up, can i plug another one into it? The one taken up is labeled

What are the labels on both ports?

Also update your post to include laptop make and mode and wifi card make and model.

Hp 2000 laptop Regulatory model TPN-I108, laptop model 2000-2d29WM . Qualcomm Atheros AR5B125 Wifi card the 1 push wire slot i taken by an antenna but the #2 slot is empty.

Is there even a second antenna in the laptop and if not how do you think you can install one.

What do you think adding a second antenna will accomplish.

It would be unlikely they would install a wifi card that can actually use 2 antenna in a laptop that only has 1 physical antenna. You would have to really read the specs on the wifi card.

If there is another antenna hookup, go ahead plug it in, but if there is none, installing an extra antenna involves disassembling the display. I personally would not take the risk, but if u feel itchy, YOUR laptop.

I looks like it has 2 ports the filled in white triangle has the cord plugged in.

What do you expect as the end result(s) of a second antenna?

Adapter appears to support only 2.4 GHz

I did not dig into all the technical details. However you should do so before making any modifications to the adapter.

Especially if you do not wish to put host or adapter at risk of "bricking".
