i am planning to buy a Display Cable as i found online that connecting a external display on a laptop that has a dGPU increases it performance as it connected directly to the dGPU but my laptop ( Asus N550jv) has a Mini Display Port and a HDMI and i just wanted to know which one that connects to the dGPU or maybe both of them connects directly to the dGPU

No. You read/understood it wrong.

Laptops employ switchable graphics. On low power tasks - like 2d desktop/office apps - integrated graphics is used. On high power tasks like 3d graphics/gaming - discrete gpu is used. It doesn't matter, if you use laptop screen or externally connected monitor, switching between iGPU and discrete GPU is being done the same.
