[SOLVED] My laptop has well beyond average specs for some games but it still lags.

When I bought the laptop everything ran perfectly but now almost everything lags.
My specs:
intel core i7 (8750H) 2.20 GHz
gtx 1060 6 gb
24 GB RAM
It's an ASUS laptop and it has a 1920x1080 screen.

And all my drivers are updated..

I started a thread like this some time ago and I got some answers, but that only seemed to fix the problem momentarily, the solution was to get a cooling top.

game specs are usualy listed for big PC version (which draws way more power than laptops cut down editions)
if those games ran before ok, and it runs like potato now, notebook coould be overheating due to collected dust or covered vents
or games had potato updates
